We are a non-profit organization dedicated to growing and enjoying roses in the Calgary area. The Society was formed
in 1964 and has been online since 2001. If you enjoy growing roses, or are new to rose growing please consider joining
our society. Guests are always welcome at our meetings.
What is new...
- Our new book, Growing Roses in Calgary, is now available! More information on our
publications page.
- Our new meeting location is the Scandinavian Cultural Centre, 739 – 20th Avenue N.W. We will meet the
second Thursday of the month as per our regular meeting schedule.
- Guest Speakers: The Calgary Rose Society would be happy to provide speakers for garden clubs or workshops on a variety of
topics related to rose gardening. Please contact us by email to make arrangements.
- We are pleased to welcome Dr. Guna Oinam and Cherie Lowe as the guest speakers for the February Meeting. Their topic will
be Tissue Culture in Roses.
- In 2012 the Calgary Rose Society will stage the 40th Annual Rose Show. Full details
will be available in spring 2012.
