Here are all the Calgary Rose Society’s 2010 Events
listed by month.
All Members’ Meetings are held at the Lougheed House, (Drawing Room), 707 –
13th Avenue S.W. at 7:30pm. There is small parking lot off 13th Avenue S.W. You
will find a larger parking lot at the back of the house off 14th Avenue S.W. Non
members are welcome but are charged a small entrance fee.

| MARCH: |
The CRS has no events in March for members, but now is the perfect
time to review last year, and plan for this year's garden. Check out
books from the library or search the internet for information on
gardening and growing roses. Mark your calendar for our meetings and
special events. Will you redesign your rose beds this year or perhaps
develop new ones? What roses will you grow this year? Where will you
plant them? Could 2010 be the year you win a ribbon or trophy at the
Annua Show? Use this time to plan and dream!

| APRIL: |
April 10 and 11 –Calgary
Horticultural Society’s Garden Show at Spruce Meadows. Once
again we will be hosting a booth at this show. Different varieties
of roses will be available for sale, so come early for the best
selection. We love to “talk roses” so please feel free
to drop by our booth.

Thursday, April 15 – Annual General Meeting at 7:30 pm
The vote of every Member matters so please plan to attend. The
formal part of the meeting will be followed by a presentation.

Thursday, May 6 to Saturday, May 8 – Mini Rose Sale
This sale is a major fund raiser for the society. Come early for
the best selection.
Thursday, May 6th: Members only from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Friday, May 7th: Open to public from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Saturday, May 8th: Open to public from 11 am to 4 pm.
Two locations: 4823 - 5th Avenue S.W. and 443 - 19th Avenue N.E.

Speaker: Laureen Rama from ECO Yards.
Laureen is the author of Eco-Yards -- Simple Steps to Earth Friendly

Show
Location: North Hill Shopping Center, 14th Street and 16
Avenue N.W.
This Show should not be missed! Exhibit some roses from your garden and
perhaps win a ribbon or trophy. Everyone welcome to the public viewing
on July 24, 2010. See the wide range of roses that can be grown in
Calgary. Members will be on hand to answer your questions.
